Apartment Umbertino is a most comfortable and elegant pied-a-terre located right in the centre of Rome. Just five-minutes from Via Veneto (where much of Fellini’s classic film La Dolce Vita was filmed) and quarter-of-an-hour from the Italian capital’s magnificent Spanish Steps, this luminous and tranquil apartment awaits you on the second floor of a fine 19th-century palazzo.
Measuring around 120 sq mt Apartment Umbertino is situated in a residential area, built during the reign of Italy’s King Umberto I, hence the name.
Somewhat busy during office hours, by evening time the zone has acquired a calm, peaceful atmosphere with none of the late night hubbub that can disturb more touristy districts.
Guests at Apartment Umbertino will find several well-equipped grocery shops and stores in the vicinity catering to all essential needs.
With such world-famous sights as Navona Square , the Fountain of Trevi and the Coliseum all close by, Apartment Umbertino is the ideal choice for a romantic get-to-know Rome break or leisurely business or family trips.
Technical Description :
To gain entry you pass through an attractive internal courtyard bedecked with palm trees and other typically Mediterranean flora. You then have the choice of a lift or stairs..
Tastefully furnished (including several antique pieces dating to the early 19th century), Apartment Umbertino has parquet flooring and central heating throughout. The front door opens onto a spacious drawing room with two sitting areas and windows overlooking the palazzo’s internal courtyards.
An arch separates the drawing room from the dining room.
A long corridor leads to the rest of the apartment with windows again giving onto the larger courtyard.
The first door on the right opens onto a bathroom with a smart oval tub. Next, the well equipped kitchen has a breakfast table that can seat four.
A right-angle bend in the corridor houses a comfy TV corner. This is followed by another small bathroom with shower and twin bedroom with a comfortable sofa bed with orthopaedic mattress. The master bedroom is the final room at the end of the corridor.
